If you read my How to Get Fat Post you'll have seen that what most people do for weight loss is counter productive. Weight loss is only hard because people make it hard by limiting their fat burning processes. Eat more and Stop Exercising is the anti-diet. It goes against everything we have been taught about losing weight. But it works. Not only that but it works long term. Here's how: 1. According to my clients everybody these days seems to be an expert on weight loss. They tell my clients that the good fats they are eating are fattening, even though the client has lost over 2 stone. They tell them cardio is the only exercise that burns fat yet my clients are far in far better shape and do no cardio. Last night I watched a remarkable story about a man, David Smith, who lost 401 lbs in 26 months without surgery. He did it all through exercise and nutrition. Or did he? Watching the videos of him at his 45 stone weight it was truly remarkable to hear him speak. He spoke as if he  had already made a massive shift. In my last post I showed you the story of a man who lost 401lbs in 26 months. I talked about how he used more than just diet and exercise to do it. He also changed his mindset, he used his brain more effectively. And there's one more thing he did. He got support. The support came from his trainer Chris. He also had the support of his family. All too often I see people trying to go it alone. They try to get in shape by themselves, or worse when they do decide to make a change, their friends, family and colleagues try to pull them down. Tv weight loss advertising myths

Now is the time of year when you are being bombarded with messages to get fit and healthy. But 99% of the products being advertised are rubbish and some will even make you more unhealthy. Unfortunately the European directive for what you can and can't 'claim' in advertising is very loose. In theory you can make a chocolate cake and call it healthy, high in fibre, low fat, good for your hair, skin and nails, low in salt, high in vitamins, etc. Here are a few ads/products to be wary of: (they are mainly aimed at women as most guys tend not to follow diets, guys generally try to lose weight in the gym, unfortunately without proper nutrition this usually ends up in disappointment. 1.
